Those days the site did not attracted much visitors. Just maybe 30 or 40 people a day. After adding nude pictures of both men the site growed in no tiem to 150 - 200 visitors a day.

Because making the website was (and is) a lot of work I closed the site at the end of October 2002.
31 October 2002 was the last day online.  But because I'm a HUGH Van Damme fan - much more than Arnold -  and because in those days there were almost no fansites on Jean-Claude van Damme,  I decided to make a new website just about Van Damme.

31.12.2002 was the first day online. "FanDamme" was born.
In fact it was just the old "Van Damme and Schwarzenegger Page" but then only with the Van Damme content.

A new topic on the site was added in July 2003: "Van Damme for Terminator". Alot of Arnold fans did not like it!!  On the biggest Arnold fan site online  - The Arnold fans - there was a discussion about this topic, and I received a lot of mails from Arnold fans: "Van Damme can't act!!!, Arnold is much better"

In January 2004, FanDamme celebrates his first birthday with a updated design.

Also in 2004 we started with our DVD-galleries, often with more than 200 pictures. Since that period FanDamme.net is the site with the most Jean-Claude van Damme pictures online. And ofcourse we still are the site with the most Van Damme pictures online.

31 August 2004 we moved again to a new design. That date was exactly 5 years after beginning building fansites. The great thing of the new design was that it was far more easy to update with less of work.

In May 2005 this site did get an own place for fans to meet each other: The FanDamme Forum.
On 16 August 2005 this site was visited exactly 300.000 times!!

In June 2006, FanDamme moved to the servers of www.vandammefan.net, and that maked
it possible to let the site grow even more. Vandammefan.net was and iss the biggest and  most active van Damme community on the internet. The site became free of advertising adds, and the own FanDamme forum was removed,

In December 2006 the site got an own url: www.fandamme.net, sponsored by the official team of Jean-Claude van Damme (www.jeanclaudevandamme.be)  In July 2007 the site did get a more optimzed design and a more professional look.  FanDamme was renamed in FanDamme.net.

In the period 2007 till 2010 the site design almost stayed the same, (only some new coolers), but we had cool interviews with Scott Adkins, Sheldon Lettich, Olivier Bisback, Julien Greaux and Todd David Senofonte. And even a phonecall with the man Van Damme himself.....

Almost 2011. Time for an updated design. We keep it clean and simple this time. Want you want to know  immediately, that's what you find on our mainpage. For those who want more Van Damme - and who doesn't... - just click 'More JCVD" for detailed Van Damme information.
